Reimagining Health Summit Recap and What I Learned

I’m sharing a full summary of my experience at the Reimagining Health Summit, along with what I learned. My assistance and travel was through EquiLife as one of the winners of their 100 Day Challenge. You don’t have to be a Integrative Health Practitioner to attend – I would love to see you at the conference next year!

Hello friends! How are you? How was the weekend? Ours was good, but crazy. It was the pilot’s change of command ceremony (after 3 years as commander), the school auction, and the NCL fashion and tea show. Everything was great, but my social battery needs a recharge. I’m going to spend most of the day in my pajamas working and later sneak out for a short walk – the weather has been a dream!

Now that we’re back from our trip and I’ve had a chance to process everything, I can finally share a full recap of the Reimagining Health Summit. It was my first time attending and it definitely exceeded my high expectations. I also had time to hang out with my best friend for business and health, giselle!

Reimagining Health Summit Summary + What I Learned

About RHS and Featured Speakers

The Reimagining Health Summit is a conference focused on healthy living and longevity, and is presented by Equivida and the Institute of Integrative Health Professionals. EquiLife products, Functional Labs, and this company have absolutely changed my life in the best way possible, and becoming certified as an IHP is one of the best things I have ever done for my business, my health, my clients’ health, and the health of others. my clients. our family. I have learned a lot and been able to connect with an amazing IHP community, while supporting a company that I greatly respect and admire.

It’s a three-day conference and this year’s was in Orlando, FL.

Some of the featured speakers:

– Dr. Esteban Cabral

– Dr. Antonio Jiménez, MD, ND (founder of Hope 4 Cancer in Mexico)

– Dr. Sean Drake, Breathing Facilitator

– Dr. Staci Whitman, Functional Dentist

– Roudy Nassif (founder of Vivarays)

– The Mind Pump team!

– Angi and Arland (co-founders of Mamoosh and HRD//KLL)

-Kate Mills

and much more.

What I learned:

I took a lot of notes during the conference, which could be spread across several blog posts (I’ll spare you, ha), but here are some of my main takeaways:

– How energy is linked to mitochondrial function and is a component of preserving longevity. If you don’t have energy, you don’t have anything.

– How to use methylene blue. I wanted to try it!

– About hydrogen water and how it can increase hydration by 6 to 10 times. I was able to try it at the summit and I LOVED it. Now I want a Kangen machine.

– Stop 2-3 repetitions before muscle fatigue. You will get the same results without too much pain to maintain consistency.

In LIGHT:

– 1/3 energy from food, 2/3 from light. Blue light at night affects insulin sensitivity and can make you crave more sugar and cabrs.

– Morning sunlight 20 min-cloudy 30 min

– Go outside 2 hours after sunrise to receive UVA light – allows you to produce serotonin and dopamine

– Wear harmonizing vivarays daytime contact lenses

– Look at the sunset- light is information

– Turn off overhead lights at night. Use candles and salt lamps.

– Wear night glasses after sunset.

– 1 hour before bedtime, switch to red sleep glasses.

– The eyes are rich in mitochondria.

– Take off your glasses to see the book (download this!)

About dental health:

– The mouth is the intestine – the entrance to the body and the beginning of the digestive tract

– Ask about fillings, root canals, gum disease, and periodontal disease with clients.

– Microbiome and impact on systemic health

How oral inflammation can contribute to chronic diseases

– heart disease

– RA and other autoimmune diseases

– diabetes

– Respiratory diseases

– Fertility and pregnancy complications.

We give the bacteria from our mouths to our babies. Focus on nutrition, anti-inflammatory foods, foods to avoid, sugar and processed foods.

Sleep and oral-airway health. How do they sleep and breathe at night?

Posture and oral health: Posture affects the jaw and bite, TMJ, headaches and neck pain related to oral health.

Toxins: how toxins affect oral health, mycotoxins, heavy metals, reducing exposure to toxins. Mold affects nutrient absorption

Hormonal changes in oral health: gum inflammation and low progesterone can affect collagen

Brush in the morning or 30 minutes after breakfast and scrape your tongue.

Add baking soda to water

Fygg brand, rises well, biocidin (newest),

Whitening: Lumiineaux

Book: Breath by James Nester

The exhibition:

The exhibition at RHS was quite small (especially compared to the behemoth that was the Biohacking Conference), but quality. Many of my favorite products and companies were there, including EquiLife products for days, Therasage, Air Doctor and AquaTru, Kangen, Vivarays and more.

There was also a place for IVs, so Giselle and I had a Meyer’s IV cocktail with glutathione added (my favorite combination, especially if I’m at conferences, traveling a lot, or feel like I might be fighting something).

VIP Dinner/Speaker/Challenge Winner:

During the conference, we also had the opportunity to attend the VIP dinner as challenge winners. This was a small private event, including EquiLife faculty, conference speakers, and fellow challenge winners. They really went all out with this dinner, with a gorgeous, healthy four-course meal, open bar, presentations, and recognition.

Surprising pro: the food!

One of the things that really surprised me about RHS was the food. I knew that EquiLife and Dr. Cabral put a lot of thought and care into the food they served, and it was evident. The food was still festive and fun, while still being nutrient dense and not at all greasy.

Cockatil hours had sushi one night with multiple types of sushi and mini poke bowls, and the second night was giant charceuterie spread, hummus and veggies. Lunches were protein-rich (salmon and chicken) with plenty of seasoned vegetables and potatoes, soups, and vegan and gluten-free dessert options.

They had bars set up around the venue during cocktail hours, which had a signature mocktail each day.

The menu was extremely thoughtful and it was one of the only times I have attended a conference and been able to eat food that I love and makes me feel good all the time.

Right side suits:

I had some questions on IG. about my outfits for RHS, so I thought I’d link them here!

We headed straight to the cruise from the Summit, so I had two suitcases for two trips in a row. I packed all of our Orlando stuff in one suitcase and our cruise stuff in another; It worked well!

Meeting Dr. Cabral in real life:

One of the highlights of the trip was the chance to meet Dr. Cabral in real life. It’s funny because he was a guest on the podcast a couple of years ago and, at the time, I didn’t know much about him. (I did some very basic research before the episode, mostly improvising, but I thought we’d have a good conversation.) As soon as the episode ended, I knew I wanted to learn everything I could from him. He is genuine and genuinely wants to help as many people as possible. I am grateful that he has been my mentor for the past few years and it was amazing to finally meet him in person.

I was also able to meet many of my PHI colleagues (board members and friends of the PCC) and Equivida mentors, in person. It is an environment where everyone helps each other grow; It’s quite exciting and refreshing. I can’t wait to see what EquiLife continues to do in the coming years.

You don’t have to be a holistic health practitioner to attend, but I will say it’s the best certification I’ve ever gotten (I got Level 1, Level 2, and am now working at HPH). You do not need to currently work in the health and wellness industry to become certified. If you are interested in learning more, my referral link is here and FITNESSISTA will give you up to $250 off levels 1 and 2.

How often do you travel for work? What event do you look forward to each year?

xoxo
