Hello friends! Happy Saturday! What are you doing this weekend? We will spend time with some of our favorite friends: dinner and botanical gardens, stocking stuffer event, Waitress the musical, and then pasta preparation and dinner. I’d love to know what you’re up to!
Some random photos from the week:
Before we get into Friday’s favorites, a couple of quick notes:
THANK YOU x1000000 to those who have filled out my annual survey. Your feedback is invaluable to me and I am very excited to start working on the 2024 content. Please share your thoughts here!
You still have time to participate in this year’s favorite things draw!!
If you want to be a Christmas elf and support some children this year, Check out this link to gift the Maui Keiki. These are all children who were directly affected by the August wildfires on Maui, many of whom lost their homes and all their belongings. This page includes links to your Amazon wish lists, which will be sent directly to the organization.
It’s time for the weekly roundup of Friday favorites (just a slightly delayed post on Saturdays). This is where I share some of my favorite finds from the week and from around the web. I always love hearing about your favorites too, so shout out something you like in the comments section below.
Friday Favorites 12.8
Health, fitness and good nutrition:
– I was invited to teach at the Fuel for Finals event at the University of Arizona for the College of Fine Arts. It was a great event: a coffee cart, a therapy dog, juice shots, snacks, a yoga class, and a mobility and stretching class (this is the one I taught) to help students relax between finals. . Here is the playlist I used.! We did a 45 minute mobility flow with lots of dynamic and static stretches, plus an extra long savasana.
– Fire cider. The team and I bought this at the farmers market last weekend. I’ve been a big fan of fire cider for years (especially during this time of year) and now I’m feeling inspired to try making my own.
Fashion + beauty:
I LOVE these new NOW products. I am always impressed by the quality-price ratio, with excellent ingredients. The serum is here and Eye cream is here (use code FITNESSISTA)
This sweater from Amazon! So cute and economical.
(with these pants and these shoes)
Here are the top picks from this week’s gift guide:
Chelsea boots for everyday use
This swimsuit I bought years ago and still love.
An amazing gift for any pet lover.
The gift that will brighten any child’s entire year.
They are still my favorite leggings
A perfect gift for your husband or partner.
You can check out my gift guide for her, for him, for kids, and health and fitness gifts. Skincare, tween, and under $100 favorites arriving next week!
Read, watch, listen:
– We saw The family change on Netflix the other night and everyone loved it. It was heartwarming, funny, appropriate for the little one, and the perfect amount of Christmas cheer. I definitely recommend it!
– Watch this week’s podcast episode here!
– I’ve been reading Fourth Wing and although it sucked me in at the beginning, it’s a bit of a drag (I couldn’t help it hahaha)… trying to get through it because I know it picks up at the end.
Happy friday friends!
