What kind of services does Fable offer?
Fable is a platform that provides companies with on-demand access to people with disabilities for research and testing. Researchers conduct user research and prototype reviews with members of the disability community, allowing companies to raise awareness and empathy across their organizations, leading to impactful changes. People with disabilities can join the Fable community and receive competitive pay for testing digital products and providing feedback or answering surveys.

What is the process to join the Fable community?
There are two ways people with disabilities can join the Fable Community and help make the digital world a more accessible place:
As an accessibility tester
Test digital products and provide feedback, earning a competitive hourly wage. You can also complete surveys online.
To qualify, you must be a native user of at least one of the following assistive technology categories and live in Canada or the United States:
• Alternative navigation (switching systems, headmouse, Dragon NaturallySpeaking for navigation, etc.)
• Screen magnification (ZoomText, OS Zoom, iOS Zoom, Android Zoom, etc.)
• Screen readers (JAWS, NVDA, Voiceover, etc.)
As a respondent
Participate in online surveys and get paid for the ones you complete. Previous surveys have explored media accessibility, voting and elections, travel, and more. To qualify, you must identify as a person living with a disability in Canada or the United States.
How to join the Fable community
• Step 1: Create an account
Create an account at app.makeitfable.com/community-sign-up/form and verify it by email. You must verify your email for your request to be processed.
• Step 2: Tell us about yourself
Share a little about yourself, such as what type of job you’re looking for and what assistive technology you use (if any).
• Step 3: Let’s connect!
A Fable team member will email you to discuss accessibility testing and opportunities to survey respondents to determine the best option.
How much work is available and how much does Fable pay?
Fable Community members have the flexibility to set their own schedules and select the research requests they wish to complete. Our sharing economy model makes it easy for community members to work as much or as little as they want. A Tester’s hourly rate is determined by their assistive technology and previous experience, with average hourly earnings on par or above the average hourly earnings for the technology industry.
