Healthy Holiday Potluck Ideas
It’s the season:
to decorate the halls,
spend time with those you love,
Put on your ugliest Christmas sweater.
(my own Dick van Dyke!)
buy it
and enjoy festive parties 🙂
I’m not sure about you, but our calendar is packed with holiday events until after New Year’s! Many of them: bring a side dish or dessert.
Is anyone else experiencing potluck overload?
What to bring?!
I always debate what I should wear to a Christmas party. I’d like to make something semi-healthy since I know I’ll enjoy the party treats and libations, something festive/seasonal, and something guests will enjoy and remember.
So while I pick my brain, I thought I’d share a list of my favorite crowd-pleasing healthy potluck recipes and those I’ve yet to try but have been researching.
Most of these healthy Christmas recipes tend to be savory, since the holidays this time of year have a lot of sweets.
Healthy Vegan Artichoke Dip
I often think of this sauce during conversations about the best comfort foods. It’s gluten-free and dairy-free, and it’s one of our favorite vegan recipes to bring to parties.
Throw it in the slow cooker with tortilla chips or a platter of crudités.
My favorite fall salad
My favorite fall salad takes just minutes to prepare and is packed with flavorful and nutritious ingredients.
All you need to make this dish a crowd-pleaser are greens, goat cheese, dried cranberries, candied walnuts, and balsamic dressing. If you really need to feed a crowd, make a bunch, because it always disappears fast!
