This holiday season, you’re probably busy receiving gifts for all the important people in your life. But I bet I can think of someone you left off your list.
Yourself.
We often find ourselves worrying about others and putting ourselves last. This year I would like you to take some time to think about yourself. I know that may make you uncomfortable because you may not be used to putting yourself first. But you deserve it. Believe me, you do.
Since you probably didn’t put yourself on your own list, I have you on mine. This year, I’d like to give you a gift: permission to add a little self-love to the long list of things to do for everyone else that you face every day, and especially during the holidays.
As you fill your to-do list with chores and traditions, remember to add a visit to your favorite bakery for a pumpkin muffin, schedule a massage, or even just go to bed early and read your favorite book.
Vacations will still happen whether you’re stressed or not. So take a moment, relax, and remember that taking care of yourself should be a priority for 2025.
