Ingredients

BAKED APPLES

  • 2 Apple Pie Search Bars
  • 5 fuji apples
  • 1 tablespoon calorie-free brown sugar
  • a pinch of salt
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon
  • ⅓ cup chopped pecans
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 F, cut the Quest bars into small pieces and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  2. Bake for 5 minutes. Let cool completely.
  3. Once cooled, place the pieces in a food processor or blender and blend until small crumbs form.
  4. Meanwhile, in a bowl, mix together the bar pieces, sweetener, salt, cinnamon, and chopped walnuts.
  5. Add melted butter and combine.
  6. Cut the tops off the apples and use a baller to remove the core. Fill each apple with the crumble mixture.
  7. Increase oven heat to 400F, cover apples with aluminum foil and bake for 15-18 minutes.
