Hello friends! How are you? I hope you are enjoying the morning. With Thanksgiving getting closer, I’m starting to look forward to enjoying a couple of days with family, eating pie, and planning our Black Friday plan of attack. 😉 I’m also looking forward to the Peloton Thanksgiving turkey burning ride! Before we get into what’s going on around here, I wanted to share some of my favorite last-minute Thanksgiving recipe ideas. These quick and easy Thanksgiving recipes can help minimize the stress associated with preparing Thanksgiving dinner.
Last Minute Thanksgiving Recipe Ideas
I thought I’d share some last-minute Thanksgiving recipe ideas if you’re trying to figure out what to make room for on your Thanksgiving table!
I also wanted to share Kyle’s perfect Thanksgiving turkey recipe, although it’s not really last minute. You’ll want to start brining it the night before!
Now, these are some of my last minute recipes:
Clean Eating Sweet Potato Casserole
A healthy version of sweet potato casserole; an excellent alternative to the classic side dish of mashed potatoes.
Green Bean Salad
Another tasty take on a classic Thanksgiving side dish: these green beans are made with goat cheese, almonds, and cranberries.
Clean Eating Cranberry Sauce
If you’re watching your sugar levels this holiday season, this low-sugar cranberry sauce is for you!
Paleo Pumpkin Pie Brownies
These Grain-Free and Dairy-Free Pumpkin Pie Brownies are amazing, even if you’re not doing paleo.
Flourless Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Bars
Consider adding these Flourless Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Bars to your holiday dessert table. You’ll be glad you did!
Raw Chocolate Cake Filling
Old, low quality images, but this recipe is too good not to share.
Vegan Eggnog
Even my vegan and dairy-free friends can enjoy eggnog this holiday season!
Christmas Spice Sangria
This delicious Christmas Spice Sangria will be your new favorite Christmas drink and it’s so easy to make!
Some recent adventures:
A good friend had a craft night at her house and we made the CUTEST sock gnomes. When you posted the photo of the gnomes on the invitation, I thought there was no way I could make it look this good, but it turns out they were super easy (<—even for those who have trouble with crafts). She had all the supplies at her house and we had a great time making our gnomes, eating delicious appetizers, and drinking wine.
How cute are these little guys?
I’ll be sharing some cheerful decorations soon, but here’s an entryway table that makes me happy.
The Pilot and I watched a basketball game the other night and felt right at home, devouring our El Charro nachos and cheering on the Cats. Normally we like to get a mini pack of tickets (8 games) but since their schedule is so sporadic and bananas, it didn’t make sense this season. Instead, we just buy tickets when we can and our team looks amazing so far.
My favorite basketball quote:
Since we’re officially in the holiday cheer, their famous punch is back:
(#neverforget)
and I took the girls to see frozen 2 at Roadhouse. I have a LOT of ideas about this; I didn’t love it as much as the first, but I really appreciated the powerful ballad, but no spoilers. I will say that I’m still trying to figure out why they made a cats movie since it is the worst musical of all time.
We’re having breakfast at Kyle’s, so I’ll bring the necessary egg casserole and then in the afternoon I’ll bring this salad to my uncles
I hope you have a happy and safe Thanksgiving!
