Today, plus size brand. ELOQUII launched a collaboration with Kate Spade! I’ve always been a fan of the vibrant colors and bold patterns that Kate Spade offers, but I’ve never had the chance to try on their clothes because their sizes only go up to a 16. Like most designer brands, plus-size people have been relegated to just shopping the accessories and jewelry sections.
This collection is limited edition and designed for Christmas festivities. Available in sizes 14-28, these 12 pieces are true to the Kate Spade aesthetic.
My reaction to this collection was the same as it usually is to anything that is limited edition and hasn’t been available in my size before: I ordered almost everything. I hate this scarcity mentality when it comes to plus size clothing, but there have been so many times I wanted an item and it was sold out and then I could never find anything like it again. We get so few crumbs that it’s hard to break that cycle. I wish these styles were available to try on in store so I wouldn’t have to buy so much (often in multiple sizes because things sell out so quickly and exchanging them isn’t an option) and then pay to return them.
However, I am very excited about these styles and hope the quality matches the designer’s prices.
