8.9 Friday Faves – The Fitnessista

Hey friends! Happy Friday! What are you doing this weekend? I’m meeting a friend for lunch, Liv and I have a volunteer event, P is back to basketball, and we’re back to the school and homework routine. I’m hoping to attend a hot yoga class too.

I hope you have a fun and relaxing weekend. It’s time for the weekly Friday Favorites Party! This is where I share some of my favorite finds from the week and from around the internet. I always love hearing about your favorites too, so please tell us something you love in the comments section below!

7.26 Friday Favorites

Fashion + beauty + random:

This nail polish. I’ve been giving my nails a break since my favorite nail girl was away for a couple of months, and I decided to try this out after Julia I highly recommend it. It smooths out the surface of your nails (which is helpful if you’ve drilled them a bit to apply gel or dip) and gives them a nice neutral tone.

Reader Favorites for July! It’s always fun to go back and check out the reviews and see which products you liked best from the ones I shared here on the blog.

Here are July’s top picks:

Our suitcases! We have three because they are inexpensive, look good, and are durable.

This three-piece travel pajama set.

Peeling olives. I’ve been using this as a gentle exfoliator. It’s unscented and works well, but it’s gentle enough for sensitive skin.

This camera – It’s a great gift for pre-teens.

These are the Pilot’s everyday shoes. (They are SO light and I kind of want some lol)

This vest set is super cute.

This egg-shaped chair.

This fool of the Free People. I get compliments every time I use this.

This foldable sun visor.

Frown!

The best Chelsea boots

The holy grail of shoes

These comfortable sports pants

These jeansI bought a pair during the Nordstrom sale and I LOVE them. They are so soft and fit perfectly. I do have to hem them (such is life) but the fit is great.

Read, watch, listen:

My friend Giselle recommended This bookIt’s definitely insightful and provides a lot of useful tips on this technologically-driven world we live in and how to navigate it with kids.

This was EPIC.

Don’t forget to listen to this week’s podcast episode on why dairy is not the enemy. 😉

Autoimmune Disease: The Shocking Triggers You Should Know About

Liv discovered the new Great Gatsby musical and we’ve been listening to the soundtrack. This song is a hit (She hates when I say that lol).

Fitness, health, life and good nutrition:

It felt good to be back to working out! I’ve taken a couple pilates classes and a barre class since we got back.

Put on a new one Nutrisense Continuous Glucose Monitor This week, I found this data very helpful, especially since we were away for a long time, a couple of weeks in Spain and another in Hawaii. I ate a lot more restaurant food and drank more alcohol, but my stress level was MUCH lower. I’m interested in continuing to see the data. If you want to know more, you can check out my full Nutrisense review and Use GINA50 here to get $50 off.

Pacha! I’m obsessed with these gluten-free muffins that only have three ingredients. They’re perfect for making sardine sandwiches, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, and eggs with avocado and sriracha sauce.

I made this pie again for family dinner last night!

Danielle and Trevor’s baby shower! I can’t believe our niece will be here in a couple months! She had a beautiful baby shower at Carriage House with the best food from El Charro, a full bar, fun games, and we all gasped at all the adorable baby gifts. We are so excited for them.

Have a great weekend and see you soon! Have a wonderful weekend, friends!

Kisses and hugs

Gina
