William Davis, MD, cardiologist and #1 New York Times bestselling author wheat belly series of books, unretouched and, more recently, Super Gut: A Four-Week Plan to Reprogram Your Microbiome, Restore health and lose weight which maps out the damage that has been done to the modern human microbiome and the specific, actionable steps that can be taken to restore it to its full potential.
Dr. Davis advocates for programs that empower the individual in health in a world where the health system has failed to provide unbiased information and services. He is co-founder and medical director of Realize Therapeutics Corp. in Lake Bluff, Illinois, a commercial venture to fund research and development of therapeutic products applying the new science of the microbiome. He is actively involved in various online activities, including his Wheat Belly blog (33 million views), which has now moved to his Dr. Davis Infinite Health Website. He also conveys his message through his Dr. Davis’s Infinite Health YouTube Channel and his Defiant Health Radio Podcast. He remains active on social media with, for example, 400,000 followers on Facebook.
Dr. Davis, a graduate of St. Louis University School of Medicine, received advanced training in cardiovascular disease and interventional procedures at Case Western Reserve University Hospitals. He resides in the suburbs of Chicago.
