I’m sharing this quick and healthy air fryer crispy ranch chickpeas snack recipe!
Hello hello! How is your day? We are relaxing here at home and taking things easy today. I’ve been studying, cleaning, participating in retail therapy, and cooking some delicious meals. I made one of my favorite easy air fryer recipes, super delicious air fryer chickpeas, and I wanted to share the recipe with you.
The kids and I love Bienas chickpea snacks (we order them in Prosperous market!) but they tend to be a little pricey, especially when the three of us go through a bag in one sitting. I was looking at them the other day and thought it would be a fun experiment to try roasting chickpeas to make them myself.
It was a lot easier than I thought and I made a giant batch that we enjoyed yesterday afternoon. They will definitely make an appearance again as part of meal prep and lunch snacks for kids.
Crispy Ranch Air Fryer Chickpeas
Crispy Ranch Air Fryer Chickpea Seasoning
2 cans chickpeas or chickpeas, drained and rinsed
Avocado oil (you can also use olive oil)
Seasoning of choice. Since I made a version of homemade ranch seasoning by including onion powder, garlic powder, dried parsley, dried dill, dried chives, salt and pepper. You can also use a ranch dressing mix or go crazy and use everything but bagel seasoning, pickle seasoning, curry, whatever you want!
How to make crispy chickpeas in an air fryer
Step one
Drain and rinse the chickpeas. Gently dry with a paper towel. Preheat the air fryer to 390.
Second step
Lightly brush the chickpeas with a splash of oil and make sure they are completely covered.
Step three
Prepare the seasoning mix in a separate container. Stir well and sprinkle the chickpeas with the seasoning mixture.
Step four
Add the chickpeas to the air fryer and make sure they are evenly distributed in a single layer. Season gently with salt and pepper.
Step five
Air fry for 12 to 15 minutes, shaking the air fryer basket occasionally, until golden brown and crisp, about 12 to 15 minutes.

Tips for using the fryer:
– Do not be afraid! I was intimidated for a long time and also didn’t think it would be “worth it” when it came to counter space. It’s worth it. We use it almost every day and it’s especially amazing for anything frozen, like French fries and vegetables. Potatoes are a deep fryer’s dream, let me tell you.
– Make sure there is room in the fryer basket for air to circulate. You don’t want to pack it completely.
– If you are looking for an easier cleaning option, you can get some fryer parchment.
A question for my air fryer friends: my only small complaint is that Ours is coated with a Teflon-type non-stick material. I’m looking for one with a stainless steel basket if you have any recommendations!
Let me know if you try this recipe. 🙂
Have a wonderful day and see you soon.

Don’t have a deep fryer? No problem! You can roast at 400 degrees on a cookie sheet for about 35 minutes. I have a BBQ chickpea recipe here!
