MetroSalud (Cleveland) celebrated the opening of a new helipad on the roof of MetroHealth’s critical care pavilion.
The structure is part of the billion-dollar transformation of the organization’s main campus in Cleveland’s Clark-Fulton neighborhood.
The helipad features technologies that automatically remove snow and ice and is designed to reduce the impact of noise and vibration for patients and caregivers within the hospital. It also provides quick access to the ward’s emergency department, trauma rooms and operating rooms.
The healthcare organization partners with a medical transportation provider. Promedica (Toledo, Ohio) for air medical transportation services.
MetroHealth was recently appointed to Sanitary design‘s HCD 10 as Outstanding Organization. Read more here.
