Gundersen Health System (La Crosse, Wisconsin) completed construction in Gundersen Tri-County Hospital in Whitehall, Wisconsin, with imaging, laboratory, pharmacy, surgery, diet, rehabilitation and transitional care services.
The two-story, 68,000-square-foot hospital replaces a 1960s-era facility and houses 31 private patient rooms, an emergency department (ED), a trauma center and a helipad. A new ambulance and maintenance building was also built on the site.
A 17,000-square-foot remodel of an existing clinic on the hospital campus was also completed.
The project team includes Groth Design Group (architect and interior designer; Cedarburg, Wisconsin) and Kraus-Anderson (general contractor; Milwaukee).
