Comment of the week

Marcos is 100% correct.
I am a doctor and I can assure anyone who may be concerned:

Acquired diabetes (as opposed to being born with type 1 diabetes) does NOT occur secretly or suddenly as it would with cancer. (Cancer of the pancreas, the organ that produces insulin, can suddenly cause diabetes, but that is cancer.)

Acquired type 2 diabetes is definitely something that one can observe day by day and know whether one is heading towards it or moving away from it.
Weight loss, lower blood sugar levels, lower triglycerides, better exercise tolerance, and better physical fitness are simple, everyday indications that you are reducing your chances of getting diabetes, not increasing it. .

A glucometer purchased cheaply from a drugstore can provide excellent everyday data about our blood sugar response to food and meals, if that is a real concern. (Just be sure to read about normals and parameters so the results can be interpreted correctly.)

If one is heading towards diabetes, as evidenced by higher blood sugar levels, significant weight gain, higher triglyceride levels, etc., then stopping red meat will NOT help in that situation.
Increasing exercise, eliminating all sweeteners and simple carbohydrates, and decreasing caloric intake will improve the situation and reverse the trend. It really is that simple for acquired type 2 diabetes.

It is a travesty the way “survey” studies are taken and discussed in the same way as real, original, double-blind experiments with real measurements and data.

The problem is that the average person doesn’t know the difference and can’t really be expected to sit down and learn that while raising a family and working two jobs.

However, I would expect more from journalists, because it is their job and responsibility to report accurately.
What they are doing here is so irresponsible.

And I suspect the vegan mega-industries know this and are taking full advantage of it. I would not ignore the fact that they even pay journalists to report as they do.
These corporations are eager to eliminate real meat and seize markets and profits by substituting fake, manufactured, chemical-filled proteins.
Grrrrr :^{.”

-Nice message.
